Pearls Events is an event planning boutique located in West Michigan, with offices in Grand Rapids and Holland. We plan, design & coordinate social events throughout the entire state of Michigan with couples located all over the Midwest.

Aletha's event career began in 1998 with a catering job she maintained until she moved to Chicago in 2000. After earning her B.A. in fashion marketing in 2003, she accepted a position with the largest Christian communications company in the world, supporting a large marketing department. In 2007 she infused her love for service, marketing & weddings by creating Pearls Events. Her desire to create an event that reflects the client and flows seamlessly is her number one goal.

Besides planning events, Aletha enjoys spending time with her husband while they work in their yard, travel the country and entertain friends on their patio. They live in Grand Rapids with their cute Yorkie, Olive.


Kate has been an event planner in the Michigan lake shore area for over three years, planning events for local companies, non-profits and individuals. It is not only her work, but her passion, to plan stellar events. Whether it be a company outing for eighteen people, or a non-profit gala for over 300 guests, Kate brings out the best in the client. She brings that passion to Pearls Events by planning fabulous weddings & social events for our clients.

When Kate isn’t working, she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, trying great food & wine. And on her days off,she loves to entertain! Kate lives in Holland with her husband, Mat, and their Springer Spaniel, Obi.
